This book has been published on the occasion of the exhibition My Winnipeg, co-produced by La maison rouge in Paris, Musée International des Arts Modestes in Sète and the Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art in Winnipeg, where it will be successively on view (2011-2012). Both an exhibition catalogue and a travel guide, it has been written by a team of experts, curators, art historians and critics, who have explored the richness and originality of Winnipeg’s (Manitoba, Canada) artistic scene. The reader will discover a rich and imaginative artistic community imbued with a dense history and mythic past.
