musée de Grenoble’s collection

Since 2020, Antoine de Galbert has supported the enrichment of the Musée de Grenoble’s photography collections through regular donations, either directly or through his foundation. The images donated are selected in close collaboration with the museum and its director. The long-term aim is to create a “ fonds de photographies Antoine de Galbert ” within the collections, to complement the existing ensemble.

Antoine de Galbert also contributes to the enrichment of public collections in France through donations from his private collection.

Exhibition Une histoire d’images, Antoine de Galbert donation
December 16, 2023 to March 3, 2024 at the Musée de Grenoble

Through 270 images by 95 photographers, from Dorothea Lange to Wiktoria Wojciechowska, from Paul Strand to David Goldblatt, via Luc Delahaye and Gilles Raynaldy, this exhibition presents a first review of this exceptional donation, sketching both an objective and subjective portrait of our times, and illustrating in an original way a certain vision of photography.
